about the owner
Robert’s journey as a certified installation technician began while working at and managing a Children’s Boutique in Hamilton. During this time he became certified through St.Johns Ambulance and the Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada (CPSAC) to assist with safely installing countless car seats for parents and caregivers, often working with the same families from infant carriers through to boosters.
As the years rolled on and Rob began his own family, he found himself revisiting the realm of car seats, now as a father. From this prospective, it was clear there was still a major gap in carseat education and support from purchase to install and beyond. Parents and cargivers easily feel stranded once the box is home, the seat needs to be installed for the first time or adjusted for child growth.
Such challenges illuminated the need for a convenient and professional solution. It was not just about installation - it was about equipping caregivers with knowledge and confidence. After re-certifying with the CPSAC, he introduced a mobile installation service, Safe Sprouts, a boon for new parents and caregivers, ensuring professional yet convenient carseat installations. To further address the issues of traveling, Safe Sprouts offers rentals to equip the traveling parents, including carseats, strollers, travel cribs and monitors.
